Giulia Lorenzi - Philosophy
Hi! I am Giulia, a researcher working at the intersection of Philosophy of Mind and Action, Epistemology and Music. My work mostly concerns cognitive aspects of perceiving, producing and enjoying music. My aim is to both provide insights on the nature of the musical experience contributing in debates in philosophy of music, and use musical cases to expand on the understanding of the mind and its processes providing a new prospective on issues debated in philosophy of mind and action and epistemology.
I am currently a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellow at UNED, Madrid, Spain. I was previously Associate Fellow (2024/2025) and Early Career Research Fellow (2023/2024) at the Institute of Advanced Study at the University of Warwick. I also previously acted as Teaching Assistant in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Warwick and as Research Assistant at Warwick Manufacturing Group. I obtained my PhD from the University of Warwick in April 2024.
When I am not doing philosophy, I read fiction, play music, and find some new craft ideas to try out!
